John Krasinski announces his return as director of A Quiet Place 2

After anticipating his work in the script in several instances, John Krasinski confirmed that he will return as director of A Quiet Place 2.

Krasinski took over the history and direction of A Quiet Place, in addition to starring in the 2018 film alongside Emily Blunt. In that sense, although his return as director is not unexpected, it was something that until now remained in uncertainty.

The actor himself tested the news with a post on his Instagram account, where he wrote "Time to return ... Part II", along with a mysterious photo and indicating the release date for May 2020 established by Paramount.

Confirming the publication of Krasinski, from Deadline they add that the production of A Quiet Place 2 is expected to begin in June of this year.

But don't expect A Quiet Place 2 to be a traditional second part, since Krasinski himself has explained that “it doesn't feel like a sequel” and that he will bet on continuing to expand the world of the first film from another perspective.

A Quiet Place 2 will be released in May 2020.

These are the best movies that are released in 2020

There are only a few weeks left to say goodbye to 2019 and hello to 2020, and although we don't know what is going to happen to us in the future (or if the planet is really going to be destroyed soon because we prefer to make fun of Greta Thunberg to pay attention to its warnings), there is an area in which, we can predict what awaits us, the cinema.
Marvel was the first to receive 2020 with the list of films that it has prepared for the next few years (starting with Black Widow's origin story), but the other studios followed closely by releasing the trailers for the films they have prepared and that they hope they will become the best of the year.

There are many reasons to be excited for a new year, especially if you are a movie fan and you are already wondering what they are going to do to overcome the great movies that were released this year (Joker, Ad Astra, The Lion King, Toy Story 4, Avengers: Endgame, Us, Glass, Aladdin, Midsommar, Hustlers, John Wick 3, the list is very, very long).

The good news is that cinema is constantly surpassed and a good movie becomes an inspiration for the next one, and this is an area where there is always room for improvement, especially now that technology is helping to tell better stories and that the special effects are increasingly realistic (we can even resurrect the dead and go back in time to meet our favorite actors in their youth (The Irishman or Gemini Man are the best examples).

THE RUNNING OF A QUIET PLACE 2 HAS BEGAN

The actor and director (although this time only the second) John Krasinski has shared on his Twitter profile an image that confirms it.

In this sequel we will not follow the adventures of the family that Krasinski and Emily Blunt interpreted (although she will appear on the tape), this time we will follow other survivors in this world devastated by absolutely lethal creatures very sensitive to any sound.

The constant tension caused by the perpetual silence in which the protagonists of the 2018 film had to live and certain truly dramatic moments made this original idea one of the most celebrated of last year in the horror film genre.

Krasinski refused to continue the story until Blunt, his wife (along with thousands of fans), pressured him to take forward a second part that expanded this universe. We may even know the origin of these mysterious creatures that ravage the Earth in 2020.

‘A Place in Silence’ part 2 premieres its first trailer

It is possible that most of you have missed the most recent advance. In the middle of the New Year's guava, the roasts to spend it and the well-deserved holiday in the middle of the week there is little time left for trailers, especially a movie that is about staying silent. But in an interesting decision, Paramount Pictures decided that this was the best day to present the second part of one of the most anticipated films of 2020: ‘A Place in Silence’ part 2 (‘A quiet place’ in its original language).

Don't move a muscle and then you can see the first preview of ‘A Place in Silence’ part 2.

We immediately noticed a change in the tone of the movie. The first part was all about silence. The conversations were about sign language and the only sound that appeared was the occasional one to increase the tension. But immediately the new trailer breaks this tradition of mutism and shows us something we had not seen: the world before monsters decimated humanity. It's just a glance, but it is certain that ‘A Place in Silence’ part 2 will bring us more information about the apocalypse.

We also see a new character, which from what we notice, is a refugee. He says that what the family is looking for ‘is no longer there.’ Given that the end of the first film presented us with the only weapon that seems effective against creatures, it is possible that what they are looking for is a way to be able to use it to the fullest and move from defensive to offensive. Unfortunately his new ally (ally?) Does not seem very willing to collaborate, stating that the only people who have survived at this point "are not the type you should save."

The mysteries of the 'Quiet Place Part II' trailer

We are talking about the complete progress of Paramount’s A Quiet Place Part II. The first film, A Quiet Place (2018), saw director John Krasinski emerge as a surprising new voice in the horror genre, with his story of a family forced to survive in a world with monsters that hunt for sound. The film, starring Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, raised $ 340.9 million worldwide with a budget of $ 21 million, making it one of the biggest success stories of the year for an original film.

Not only was it a success among the public and a reason to opt for a theatrical experience, A Quiet Place also earned a high score among critics and earned an Academy Award nomination for best sound editing, along with several nominations for Critics' Choice. A sequel was inevitable, and seemingly daunting, with Krasinski admitting that he imagined the film as unique before considering the possibilities of exploring a larger world. The new trailer makes it clear that Krasinski is not walking along the same path of the first movie, but opens up new avenues through which to explore the great extremes that humans will travel to survive.
